Hi i just loged out and when i loged back on using firefox i had lost half my bookmarks

Is there any way to retrieve the lost bookmarks or will i have to re enter them all

Can you reboot the computer please

Right after the reboot don't open any other windows
Go to START>>RUN
type in the following below into the open field

firefox.exe -profilemanager

Should open your profilemanager
Remove the new profile you made

Won't i lose all my extensions and the remaining bookmarks if i do that

Thanx for that this should help me solve the problem in future unfortunately looks like i lost some loaded some from a back up. Will have to save more frequently

Backing up bookmarks is a good idea
You can do that from Manage bookmarks>>File menu

Also note
Firefox 1.5 is now out in final release
It's suppose to somewhat address the problem

Keep in mind, not all extensions are compatible yet until the developers of the extensions have updated on their ends
