Computer Full Of Viruses (i think)
« on: February 15, 2006, 09:14:28 PM »
i recently downloaded something off a torrent and it has installed all sorts of nasty viruses these include

one called freeprod which always pops up
a pop up called 'duf'
something in my running processes called upps
something on my c:/ drive called usbdrivr
lots more on my c:/
my antivirus (avast) always finds and deletes certain ones but they just keep on coming, the same goes for ad aware in fact ad aware now seems to crash while deleting the found spyware.

i really need help with this as something seems to keep changing my internet settings everytime i turn the computer on and my computer seems completely slow now. a step by step help guide would be great please

You appear to need a hand
Please post a hijackthis log and we will go from there
From my signature below, download and save too a permanent folder on your harddrive
Hijackthis 1.99.1
Open Hijackthis.exe

Do a SCAN and Save a Log file---Save the log----copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log  here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important
