It is official, the Xbox 360 would come in two different packages. The basic $299 version would include the Xbox 360 console, standard controller, detachable faceplate and a standard AV cable. The $399 premium package would includes extras that would cost around $200 if purchased seperately, such as the detachable 20GB harddrive which is required to play old Xbox games, a Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, detachable faceplate, headset, remote, a component HD-AV Cable and more.
