LQFix Issue?

I was searching for solutions to a malware/spyware problem and I came across several threads on this site and others about LQFix.exe.  I downloaded, ran, and restarted... and I also read that it would take some time to restart as there is a script running.

However, I am extremely concerned about the amount of time it is taking to run.  The computer in question has an active internet connection and is only a year or so old.

Do you know how long this process should take or what measures to take to boot normally?  I am in serious need of this machine and the data on it.

I suggest you don't run any more fixes until I have a chance to see you Hijackthis log
From my signature below, download and save too a permanent folder of it's own onto your harddrive
Hijackthis 1.99.1
Open Hijackthis.exe

Do a "SCAN and Save a Log file"
A log will open in Notepad
Copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log  here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important

How long have you been waiting to reboot to normal mode
Can you reset the computer and see if reboot back into windows

I have waited all night, I cannot reboot normally.


EDIT:
I have removed the harddrive and will be removing files manually from a Mac (let's hope it can't get infected)... I think I will simply reformat the hdd.  I am not sure if this will handle any LQFix errors... this does reside on the harddrive and not anywhere more permanent?

I have finally backed up all the data I needed and reformatted the machine in question... I just want to make sure there isn't anything going on on my network that has reinfected anything.
