A freind built my new system and installed his Win . XP Pro OS to test and I have bought Win. You shouldn't have any problem.
To satisfy yourself search various tech forums and read threads about useing an OEM copy. If yours is legal you will have the appropriate PD numbers etc, just insert your CD and select Install & Clean install.
You will loose all the data you have so backup whatever you want to keep so you can put it back afterwards.
