Have spent quite a while searching the forums and comes accross some interesting tips and tricks. But when i try some of them out, such as modifying the boot screen, when it comes to replacing the ntoskrnl.exe file in the system32 folder, windows just keeps on replacing it with the same original version
If i rename ntoskrnl.exe to ntoskrnl.bak it just creates another ntoskrnl.exe file in its place.... In a way it seems that XP is protecting its system files from abuse although i am logged on in my admin account.
Any thoughts.
