Monitor display problems
« on: April 02, 2006, 08:22:45 AM »
Hey ppl..I have a problem and I would appreciate any help you can give me..

I recently had to get a new CRT montior as my old (*very* old) one blew. The new monitor is working fine, except for the fact that some things arent displayed...
For example, on my desktop, the text beneath icons is in black text in a white opague box (background cannot be seen behind it). Also text colours on MSN aren't shown..both my words and the person I'm chatting with appear as black even though mine is set to red. Some pictures/graphics on web pages dont display either. Right now the entire background on this forum is white, with the grey borders not fully displayed (only one is showing, and on that only the edges..middle is blank)  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

If anyone has any idea whats happening pls help! If any more info is needed I can supply it in a later post..

Thanks!

Sounds like your monitor is starting to die out.

May I suggest a new one.
