ftp problem

I\'m using winxp pro on drive c
I recently visited 2 ftp sites , and now everytime I look into \"documents and setting , my user name \" of my drive D were w2k is installed, (when  i\'m in winxp pro) my computer contacts the 2 ftp sites .
(microsoft ,iomega ) and sends and receives data before I can open those documents and settings username ..(I\'m administrator and sole user) .It annoys me because it takes me more than 30 seconds before I can open this folder .
Is there a way to get rid of those ftp sites on my computer .

I made the whole w2k username folder hidden and the problem was resolved , I only had to make Start menu ,Internet Explorer Quick launch , Desktop and Favorites Visible again afterwards .I still don\'t know exactly how I  contacted  those ftp sites , but I  don\'t see them anymore in my NIS  log
