W2K boot CD
« on: March 14, 2002, 10:36:47 AM »
Is there a way to slipstream IE 6 into W2K as well as the SRP and DirextX8. That would save loads of time! Also I have a perfectly working W2K boot able CD but if I\'m doing s fresh install it asks for a 98/NT cd to verify upgrade eligilbility. How can I change this so it wont ask for a cd? I have it so it doesn\'t ask for a key anymore....

Thanks

For the SRP1 check out my two last postings at the \"Security Rollup Package \" thread at:
http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/showflat...er=3703&fpart=1

IE6, DX8 or WMP7 can not be slipstreamed into the package, but you can get them installed during the GUI setup using the $OEM$ structure at the root of the boot CD and using the Cmdlines.txt and Winnt.sif files.

You obviously have a upgrade CD. Don“t know how to overcome that problem, unless you buy a new full package.
