Help please...

Windows XP is giving me hard time with Windows Media Player! It won\'t run. The blue pop up screen says: Windows Media Player encountered a problem and needs to close!

(send error report or not...)

So I didn\'t like that much and I\'ve F-disk and re-formated the C: drive....

However, the problem is the same with a new install..? What can I do to fix this? Is there a fix or crack to remove this error?
...or is an error?

the problem may be with ur copy of windows XP , this copy may be corrupted or something , try installing another copy.

try downloading media player or the updates for it from the media player website
just sounds like it\'s configured wrong or something else may be using the same spot in memory
so try to type msconfig in your run box (start, run)
and then uncheck everything under the startup tab except systray, explorer or anything that points to a keyboard device driver or mouse or something that is essential for the computer to run
