There\'s a new virus going around that seems to be using forged From: addresses to make it look like it\'s coming from other sites. I myself have received several of these, coming from domains such as microsoft.com, bink.nu, and even my own domain thetechguide.com. While I can\'t speak for everyone, I am pretty sure that Microsoft would do their best to not mass-email a virus like this (and if they did, they\'d deny it), and I personally don\'t even use Outlook or any type of email program (I view my mail through the web using my own program). And this virus is using different subject lines (such as ie6 patch), but you can pretty easily tell it\'s a virus if you view the message (similar to the old \"I send you this file, hope you like it\" we\'ve all gotten used to).
Lastly, there is an email going around with the subject line \"Worm Klez.E immunity\" that says to install this program, and it will keep you immune from this virus. But it might set off an antivirus program since it acts like the virus to fool it. I\'m sorry, but that sounds just like a virus to me (if anyone knows for sure, please respond). Just use common sense, and don\'t open any attachments from people you don\'t know...and if you do know them, don\'t open any executable attachments, or any others if you weren\'t expecting one.
*Update* Here\'s a link that describes what this virus does, how to get rid of it, etc.:
