Add 3rd Party Drivers to Win2k Recovery Console
« on: April 22, 2001, 09:28:59 AM »
Has anyone been able to add 3rd party drivers to the Win2k Recovery Console installation?  On my KT-7R system, I am able to install the console from my original Win2k w/SP1 CD, but have to manually install HPT-370 drivers from floppy using the F6 key every time the Recovery Console is loaded.  The drivers do not get saved by default, so if I attempt to the console without hitting F6 and putting the driver floppy, the system gets a BSOD with and Inaccessible Boot Device error (based on my best recollection).

FYI, for normal bootup, the HPT-370 drivers work fine.

As far as I remember there is also an i386 directory in your recovery console and all drivers in there are loaded. So just copy the sys file there and you should be fine.
