how do u enable windows 2000 server ACPI like hibernate or mabey standby? or powerdown

first look to see if you have a standard or ACPI HAL to do this click on the computer in device manager.

if your running ACPI already then just go into the power options and see what you can set there. keep in mind that w2k server is ment to be on 24/7/365

if you are running a standard hal it\'s time to update the bios on the system. after that is done you need to reinstall w2k on the system. just an upgrade will work just fine. if this doesn\'t change it to an ACPI hal then your system is too old or will just not work with ACPI.
