Ok i dont know how to fix it but i changed the setting on a program so it opens with word. now all my programs on that computer open with word! (including system restore) i know this has nothing to do with the subject at hand but i dont know how to start a new one. someone please help! Have dowloaded xp_exe_fix and that didnt work... any other ideas anyone?

Can you open any .exe files at all?
What operating system are you running? Windows ME or XP?

Can you open a Notepad?

Start>>Run>>type in notepad.exe

Can you open the registry?
Go to start>>run>>type in
regedit
