Stripping Windows 2000 CD

I\'m trying to strip the Windows 2000 Installation to save space to add some other progs to the CD before I burn it again. I\'ve noticed there is a folder called VALUEADD on both Win2000 and Win2000 Server. About 40 Megs big. Can this be safely deleted?

I know that you can skip all the extra directories on the win98 cd so I would assume that the same goes for the win2k...

As long as you keep all the files in the root directory, and the i386 directory, you should be able to delete all the other directories. So you\'ll have the files in the root directory, then the i386 directory, and that\'d be it.

Yes, but that only lets you install from dos. There is a setup program in that directory too if you want to install from windows. But, leave the files in the root directory, and you can also make it bootable.

BUT! One should leave the SUPPORT/TOOLS Directory since it contains a nice tool for unattended installation scripts. More on that later...
