alrighty first off just downloaded Ruckus (a service that my college offers that allows its users to
download drm protected audio files at freakin' rediculous speeds) and w/ the grace of fairuse4wm (a prog that strips drm off of music) was able to
update my library pretty nicely.. Ruckus is actually a paid service (through our tuition) that allows students to download any songs they have and put it on our mp3 players as long as they're not apple products (only cuz apple is gay and won't have it), so i'm pretty much making them apple friendly by taking the drm off ANYWAYS enough of my pre-story
after updating wmp 10 to wmp 11 fairuse4wm does not work - my question is not how to drm strip my purchased media via any other means (i absolutely love fairuse4wm) but HOW to go about doing it the fastest way.. here's some things i have ran through my brain but have not committed to one yet:
(keep in mind i will be sending 30 to 40 songs at minimum each time)
- use vmware to host another
win xp pro and simply drag and drop the music files into that
os and strip 'em there then send 'em right back over to the main os (not real sure how fast the drag and drop mechanism works w/ vmware)
- send my collection over the internet to another comp w/ a working fairuse4wm.. considered 'avvenu' to do this, but the
file transfer rate was soooooOoooO slow
- send my files over my
wireless network to another comp that has a working fairuse4wm, BUT the other comps on my network are sooooo buggy and slow it's unbearable.. i have a
desktop that's mine and relatively fast, but it's already burdened w/ win vista

\' /> aka a new wmp 11 that will kill my fairuse4wm
- burn a file cd/dvd each time i want to transfer the songs to another working fairuse4wm working comp (or to use on vmware) and then burn another cd/dvd w/ the drm-stripped ones
any other suggestions? or if necessary another prog to use? i'm runnin' out of ideas and i miss the simple just using my host comp to strip 'em w/ fairuse4wm but i've been reading that i'd have to reformat to get back to that new wmp 10 w/ little errors.. *sigh* plus that's just way toooooo much work lol alright thanx for ur time
