avp.exe mgrs.exe recognize this?
« Reply #1 on: June 27, 2007, 09:32:10 PM »
If you make a practice of not posting back after instructions
I may tend to forget about your posts
But let me take another chance on you

Please do the following
Download FixwareOut from one of the following sites:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
Save it too desktop, we'll need it later

Download SDFix and save this to your desktop
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Reboot your computer into safe mode please
Sign in with your normal account

SDFix
Go to START>>My Computer>>Double click to open the C:\ folder
 • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
 • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
 • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
 • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
 • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
 • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
I'll need to see that report later

Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [avp] C:\WINNT\avp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [smgr] mgrs.exe
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/26b293c2673a7f...ip/RdxIE601.cab
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{9B639DEC-EAA0-4745-915A-4A3B2F9482FA}: NameServer = 85.255.115.157,85.255.112.97
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.157 85.255.112.97
O17 - HKLM\System\CS3\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.157 85.255.112.97
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.157 85.255.112.97
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\WINNT\system32\syst4m.dll

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows
Including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Double click on FixWareout.exe
Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads, it will open a textfile. Save that log, because I need it later.

Note: ONLY if you have connection problems after performing above steps - go to Start -> Control Panel, and choose Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually Local Area Connection or Dial-up Connection if you are using Dial-up, and left click on properties. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio button that says Obtain DNS servers automatically. Click OK twice, and restart your computer.

Post back ALL the following
Again, I remind you, if you don't post back, I'll consider your posts a waste of mine and your time
This is a final warning!

1. Post a fresh hijackthis log
2. Post the Report.txt in the SDFix folder
3. Post the report from Fixwareout

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Follow the instructions posted http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php/topic/22942-please-read-how-to-post-logs-from-frst/\'>Click Here

Hi Justa, you still have problems in your log
But, I'm going to close this topic soon
Can you start your own post topic in this forum please
Keeps it a bit less confusing

We'll take steps from there, thanks
