windows xp help
« on: August 02, 2007, 03:35:24 AM »
Hi everyone,

So for christmas  a couple years ago my sister and I received the exact same computers. I found myself tonight reinstalling windows xp with the startup discs that come prebundled with the computers. Everything was going fine, and at first the computer accepted my serial number no problem. (Which upon reflection is weird I think, but at the time it seemed like everything was going swimmingly) At the registration screen though it didn't recognize my serial number on the side of my case...so I'm thinking that my sister has my software and I have hers. When I get the disc in the mail I have to redo this whole thing over of course. The problem is that I have no idea how to do that...there is no C:/ to access, so I'm a little confused about how to start over with this.
