Microsoft visual C++ runtime error abnormal termination. Help!

Hello!

I have a problem similar to that described here:

I followed this as much as I could but I can't interpret the HijackThis report myself!

I've been using Soulseek for years as well, but recently the program has been crashing, Microsoft visual C++ runtime error abnormal termination. it referenced the soulseek program with this error.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled all slsk componenets, and I had this problem before I did a fresh install of WinXP and the app, but the problem didn't go away for good.

I have tried to get rid of all adware and malware that I can identify, so my system is as clean as it has ever been, yet this problem keeps happening!

any help I would really be appreciated - I can't tell what to look for in the HijackThis report. Looks like it's fixed other people's problems though.
