my craphics card is showing at 4 x interface on pci-e but mobo allows for 16 how can i fix this

Change it or enable it in the BIOS.
Although it should have automatically detected it.
What key to press during startup to get into the BIOS, depends on the machine.
It's usually Delete, Esc, F1, or F10.
Oh. Make sure you have it's power connector connected to the power supply.
Supposedly it's needed for this card.

Was it already overclocked? If not, then you would have to do that manually yourself. Most video cards nowadays are "factory overclocked". And yes, make sure the power connector is in, some cards make a noise if it is not in, while some do not as they run off the motherboards power. If the problem continues, then you can always call up the place where you bought it from for tech assistance. Good luck.
