HP 8200e usb cdr w/w2k
« on: June 15, 2001, 07:43:07 PM »
Did a clean install of 98se to w2k pro.
I can not get my hp 8200e to operate fully. I can burn
small files and 1-3 mps\'3 at a time but errors out if I cue
up 10-12 mp3\'s. Also, If I try and burn a large data file it will
error.
ASPI ...checked and shows ok
cdr software used 1) : easy cd 5.01 less take two
2) : various versions of nero
3) : clone cd
also have tried various media.
also have tried various hp driver updates, but only 5.0.2183.1
dated 11/14/99 will work.

If you have any ideas.......????? yeah, I\'d like to know

First off, Nero and Easy CD don\'t play well together. If you have them both installed, they may mess each other up. I\'d uninstall them both, then install Easy CD, then Nero (if you must have both...personally I\'d rather have Nero and not deal with Easy CD). You can use Nero\'s boot manager to decide which cd burning program will be used when you boot your pc.

Just an idea.

Never had the two cdr apps share the same bed.
I always un-installed one before installing the other.
Thanks for your reply though.
