MS OFFICE 2007 HOME

Questolo,

You have helped me many times in the past.  Since this is an unrelated topic, I started a new thread.

That new Dell Inspiron 530s is performing quite nicely now.  However, I just posted the following topic in the Software section of this forum:

I just got my new computer with MS Office 2007 Home pre-installed. I was at first happy that I was able to open all of my MS Works documents with the new WORD, until today that is! MS Works allowed me to create envelopes and it allowed me to SAVE the envelope so I could print one as I needed (for recurring payments, etc.). When Word 2007 converted one of my envelopes, when I go to print it...IT PRINTS THE TEXT BOX OULINE AS WELL! What the hell is that?! I cannot figure out how to make sure it only prints the text in the TO box, and not the text box lines as well! Also this new word does not allow me to save the envelope itself as a document! Aren't newer versions of something SUPPOSED to be better and more user friendly? Does anyone have a clue how to make it stop printing the text box lines?

I thought of perhaps going back to the original Works document on the flash drive backup and seeing if thre is a way to hide the lines in there before opening it with Word 2007 and seeing if that does the trick.  If you have an answer to that question, GREAT.  If not, I need to ask you about another problem that Office 2007 has been causing everyone.  I googled the situation and found that many people experienced this:  Office 2007, for whatever ignorant reason that Microsoft has dreamed up to torture us users, converted my Outlook Express Spell Checker into French and there is no option to turn it back to English. http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />  I read several google responses talking about some downloads that will repair the problem, but wanted to ask you which is the best/safest/easiest to integrate download to fix this problem?  let me know what you think.  Thanks.

I found this for the OE french problem
http://pschmid.net/blog/2006/11/13/80

It mentions about upgrading, not preinstalled Office
But the scenario sounds the same

Not sure about the printing problem
Have you tried Normal view before printing?

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Follow the instructions posted http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php/topic/22942-please-read-how-to-post-logs-from-frst/\'>Click Here

I will try the link you gave me.  Regarding the printing thing, I just deleted the text box and manually tabbed over to the appropriate location and created the TO address and saved it that way.  Seemed to do the trick.  Thanks.
