Networking with a Router and ICS
« on: May 04, 2008, 03:47:59 PM »
Hey everyone, got a question that hopefully someone can help me with.  Here is my setup:  I have 2 computers, Computer A is wirelessly connected to a Linksys Router, Computer B is connected to Computer A using a gigabyte LAN ethernet cable, and receives its internet connection through ICS (Computer B has all my hard drives, and Computer A accesses them through Mapped Network Drives).  Computer A is configured to use 192.168.1.181, Computer B uses 192.168.0.189.  Both computes access each other and the internet perfectly.

Now for my problem, my file sharing programs are on Computer B (which has no direct connection to the router), so I cannot use port forwarding to make the connection properly.  I would imagine that I need to configure the ports to forward to my router computer, and then configure that computer to forward the data over the ethernet cable, but I don't know how to do that.  Any suggestions anyone has would be appreciated.  Let me know if you need any more information on my setup.  Thanks.
