WinXP does not read burned CD
« on: November 18, 2002, 12:59:28 PM »
Hi:

Not sure whether this is a SW or HW problem. In any case here’s my problem:

I have a Creative CD burner on my desktop, I use NTI to burn CDs, Win 98 SE.
The burned CDs work fine, except on PCs running WinXP.
The contents of the CD gets listed in Windows Explorer, however when I click on any file , be it image/.exe/mp3, I get an error that the CD is corrupted.
However the same CD works fine on PCs running 98/ME.

I have burned a few CDs, with various options , ie track-at-once, session at once…., but they all failed.

Any suggestions?

Thanx in advance.
Kamy

Hi!
I use xp and NTI ver 5 no problems what so ever. I suggest you try reinstalling the software, first take out the old stuff.
If that dosent work then i guess its a hardware problem. I trust you have a good copy of NTI.
