Okay.  So I made a post a few months ago about the same thing, and now I've decided and spent some time making a build.  Everything's all set, I just need to make sure that all the parts are compatible.  Can anyone double check my work?  I'm not too good at dealing with specs.  I get way too confused lol.

Oh yeah JB, don't complain about my video card.  I know you probably want me to get a 9600GT or something.  But yeah, I'm sticking with this one.

LEDs are for gay ricers.

the only thing I would advise you to "better" is your mobo, get a p45 even if it is a little expensive, you'll thank yourself for it later.

antec 300 is a nice case, even if it does have LEDs

EDIT: you might also want to get a low end graphcis card, on board graphics is teh suck for gaming. Something in the ATI 3 or 4 serries

I love how you still have the same sig.

And I've been thinking about it, I'm going to save up some more cash, and I'll buy it around Christmas.  I'm gonna wait till some good sales go up.  And yes, I'm a ricer.  Lol.  

AND I got a GFX Card...Its not THAT low end either.

But yeah, I'm just wondering, I already have a disk for 32bit XP, should I spend the extra money to get more RAM and 64bit Vista?  I really don't like Vista, but how much would an extra gig or two speed my computer up?  Plus Vista would be slower than XP...
I'm just trying to weigh out the pros and cons...

If you get an ATI gpu, I will kill you. You want an NVidea, end of story, get it now. NO ATI!

Also, you're CPU is pretty low quality. 2.5 GHz is something you would expect from a quadcore, get at least a 3.0 if you are going dualcore.

yea I still have the same sig, I'm too lazy and too much of a noob to make another one

also, haha you pay for vista. TinyVista ftw if you don't want all the stupid "wow that's really useful for about 10 minutes" features. only ~150MB unattended installer so it fits on a cd etc. etc.

also, since JB Lee doesn't like ati gpus, here's a couple nvida suggestions

for budget you'd want a GeForce 9600GSO or a 9600GT

also, i'll go ahead and suggest some other budget parts:

Case:
COOLER MASTER Centurion 534
Anything Antec (except the 900)

also, since you're a ricer you might enjoy the

RAIDMAX SMILODON Extreme

PSU:
Since you got a gfx card and such you're probaby going to want something between 500-600W

Get something from seasonic, corsair, or OCZ (sometimes referred to as PC Power&Cooling)

Processor:
Nice choice

HDD:
Since you obviously like segate and think that 250G is enough, nice choice

That's about it I guess.

You'll definitely be able to run crysis on that bro.

Pre-built tends to offer low quality parts with no customization ability (exhibit 1: Dell exhibit 2: HP and all others)

Pre-built computers are only good if you are buying a laptop. Other than that, stay away.

What? Pre-built laptops are usually horrible.

Prebuilt desktops, on the other hand, are usually much lower than customized ones. And why wouldn't they offer customizable ability?
