Microsoft.windows security center_disable viruses,perhaps a few other
« Reply #3 on: December 22, 2008, 04:39:46 PM »
Try and keep me informed how things are running please

Can you do the following,
Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from >>here<< and save it to your desktop.
 • Double click on RSIT.exe to launch program.
 • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
 • Your firewall may alert you that RSIT is requesting Internet access. Please allow it.
 • Once it has finished, two logs will open:  log.txt<-- this will be maximized and info.txt<-- this will be minimized.
Post both those logs please
NOTE: You may get an error message posting back log.txt
If you do, can you upload it please

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Follow the instructions posted http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php/topic/22942-please-read-how-to-post-logs-from-frst/\'>Click Here

Once again ,.thank u for the help,.sorry about not giving enough of an update, my internet seems to be running faster,.for sure,.i ran Spybot just to check to see if i had aquired any more viruses,.seems i have a different one called Right media, not sure why i continue to use Spybot,.seems most of the new viruses these days keep coming back after i do. Can you do the following

Do a System Scan Only with Hijackthis and put a tick next to the following entries:

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\wmsdkns.exe,
O2 - BHO: Adobe PDF Reader Link Helper - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll (file missing)

Close down all other open windows
Including this one
Then click on FIX CHECKED
Ok the prompts and restart your computer

Back in Windows

You appear to of cut off some of the information I needed from rsit.exe
Can you run it again
This time post back Only the whole contents of Log.txt that opens

If you do get an error posting it back to the forum, can you save a copy of Log.txt on desktop
Then in a reply back here upload the file please

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Follow the instructions posted http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php/topic/22942-please-read-how-to-post-logs-from-frst/\'>Click Here
