RAID Controller Card Issue

Hi, does anyone know how to solve a RAID Controller card\'s issue that I have the RAID Card (with 2 harddisks plugged into it) in my computer, and it\'s running good right now.

I can do a normal boot-up to my current OS in the hardisk.

However when I use the cd-rom to boot up, it couldn\'t find any of my harddisks, because I want to install a WIN XP or Linux.

what RAID controller card are you using?  And, what software/utilities are you using?  (should have some program that comes with your controller card that you can access after bios loads)

I use the Promise FAST Track100 TX2 RAID Controller Card,
and \"FaskBuild Configuration Utility\" that comes from the card\'s BIOS, and I updated the software in the windows.
when I look up in the card\'s BIOS, it shows that my drive assignments are functional.

should I attach my cd-rom to the RAID controller card?
(I\'ve tried to plug in my cd-rom drive to RAID card, but it didn\'t recognize my cd-rom, so I just use the motherboard\'s IDE slot for the cd-rom)

You will need a floppy with the drivers for your RAID controller.

When ready to install Windows, insert the CD and boot -- the CD will be detected, and you may have to press a key when you see a message like \"Press any key to boot from CD\". During the load from CD you should see a message at the bottom like \"Press F6 to install 3rd-party SCSI or RAID drivers\" -- if you don\'t see the message, press F6 anyway during the first part of load.

You will be asked to insert a floppy with drivers -- this will be needed again a little later in the install. Now Windows Setup will detect your drives.

For Linux you\'ll have to check your distro\'s FAQs or support docs.
