Dell, Itunes and Locking Up
« on: August 29, 2010, 05:08:10 PM »
I have a Dell Dimension 3000 destop computer. I have Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 with Service Pack 3. I have an Intel Pentium 4 CPU (3.00 GHz);2.99 GHz with 1.00 GB of RAM.

My computer runs fine until I try and play songs from the ITunes Program on my computer. After I am playing songs already in the Program, my computer locks up and I have to pull the power source and re-start the computer. The computer does not give any errors either at the time of the lock up or upon restart.

I have tried everything that the various on-line sources recommend, i.e. re-load ITunes, scan computer for viruses, double-check all drivers; you name it, I've done it. The computer continues to lock up.

Any suggestions that I can try? I have not had the computer lock up at all if I avoid the ITunes folder. I am making some assumptions that it is a problem with my ITunes folder interacting with Windows XP. I may be wrong here.  Thanks!
