Folders and IE don\'t open!!

Hi there,

I\'ve been having some trouble with my system for a few days now. For some reason, every time I try double clicking on \"My Computer\", \"Internet Explorer\" or any desktop folder, the system shows the egg timer for a few seconds as if it was loading it but doesn\'t ever show it (doesn\'t open). I then check under the task manager and see that there are processes for it but nothing shows. This is for any folder as well!!  Even Outlook and ICQ won\'t open either.

I also noticed that my Norton Anti Virus doesn\'t start up but also shows up in the task manager. Could it be a virus or something??

I also tried to do a system restore but that won\'t open either.

Please help, I\'m out of ideas. Thanks in advance!!

P.S. I am running Windows XP

check out xupiter, it will not be in add remove programs so you have to look on thier web site for information on how to remove it.

I\'ve checked and I don\'t have Xupiter on my system.

Any other ideas??
