Win2k Pro Upgrade version to Full version

I need to install windows on a clean hard drive but I only have the upgrade version of win2k pro.   Is it possible to prevent the upgrade version of windows from checking for a previous version on the hard drive?

well yes but no...the method i used was i made a Folder called Win98 on the HD through safe mode and i took the files i had saved off the CD and put em in there...then when it asks u to browse for it select the Win98 Folder But either way u need a previos Version

I\'ve tested the installation on VMware trying to recognize what is realy nessessary for 2K update version. I found that the update tests the presence of two folders on the CD - Win98 and Drivers. So you can just create these two... It even can be empty! Also it is good idea to burn own CD for installation of 2K update with these two empty folders included...

Just create two (even empty) folders on the root of CD - Win98 and Drivers. Setup will test the CD for presence of these folders.

I have all the win2k upgrade CD copied on the hard disk (folder d:win2k). I tried to create those two folders (win98 and drivers) in the d:win2k folder, but it does not work.
