every were says that you have 2 use 16 colour palettes but some people are usin full colour plaettes (2.6 million or something)

As far as I am aware it is not possible to use any more than 16 colors in the Windows 2000/XP boot logos. I have yet to see any hack that makes it possible to use even 256 colors.

Could you possibly be confused with the Linux GRUB boot logos? The lastest GRUB boot loaders allow high res true color boot screens.

who is everyone and have you seen any proof on this??

remember it is the kernel of the operating system...so it would not
be wise to put such a high res image in it even if it is possible...could
slow/tear things down

You basiclly need to have the video card drivers load up right away in order to get more than 16 colors in your boot menu...

How, I have never found the answer to that question.
