Does anyone know how to bypass the password on IE's \"Content Advisor\"?  My neighbor has lost his password and can not access any website (except of course Microsoft.com).

Thanks.

I found this webpage. But it is for IE4 it may help. http://www.pcworld.com/resource/printable/...aid,9495,00.asp

Q. I have forgotten the content advisor password.

A. The password for the content advisor is stored in an encrypted form and decryption it, while possible, is to complicated for our purposes so we will instead just \"reset\" the password as if it had never been set.

Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)
Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings\
If this is a \"Key\" value select it and press DEL. Click OK to the confirmation.
If there was not a value but was instead a sub-key \".default\" move to this folder and delete the \"Key\" value.
Restart IE and you should be able to set the password with Internet Options - Content.

Hope it goes well good luck

I have a very simple way to do it. It doesn't involve reg. editing, my friend had the same problem but he just wanted to take off the pass set by his parents. Anyways, go on yahoo, search a content advisor software remover or i.e. pass remover, then download it, and the program works great! If you got other questions, just post it, later!
