Could anyone tell me wheather it is possible to create an ftp area on a personal hard drive if it is possible could you please let me know how cheers, i\'ll check back later

Could you be a bit more specific?  What do you mean by FTP area?  What OS are using?

Please be a lil more specific.  Hrmm.... ive never heard of doing that.  as a matter of fact i dont think you can.  FTP is the protocol you use to access uploading/downloading to/from a remote FTP server....NOT to a local machines HDD (in that case youd just use a shortcut to a folder and you wouldnt use FTP at all).  Now are you talking about connecting another HDD directly to your LOCAL machine?  or, Networking 2 computers so your local computer can use the 2nd computer as extra storage space?

Run your own Ftp Server using Bulletproof Ftp Server.  go to www.download.com and type it in and download the trial.
