Windows XP networking

I have 2 xp machines, cable modem, seimans speed steam 2602 router. All the connections are fine. I can access the internet with no problem. I can not setup the computers to see each other. I have tried the the different wizards built in to XP none of them worked. Any help please.

I had the same problem with my network when I set up XP - until I turned off the XP firewall.  Then all the other workstations were visible and available.  Might try that.  This is assuming all are part of the same workgroup.
