----HERE'S A POSSIBLE SOLUTION IF YOU HAVE NFORCE MB----
I had the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL problem with a reference to scsiport.sys... it mainly occurred when I tried to get into any of my drive properties, preventing me from using scandisk, etc.
Here is how I fixed it:
(First off, here are my system specs)
Windows XP
AMD Athlon 3200+
nVidia GeForce 5600
512mb DDR
WD HD
nForce2
I've been trying to fix it or months to no avail, checking every site google pulls up.
Finally, I went to nVidia's site and downloaded the newest drivers (Unified 2.4) for IDE, Audio, etc.
They can be found at this page:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_4.24I also downloaded the nVidia system utility found at
http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility_1.08.5.htmlthough I'm sure this has nothing to do with it.
I rebooted, and it worked great. Let me know if this works for you.... ehovindEmail Removed
