« on: July 14, 2004, 03:34:39 PM »
I have read other's posts for the Casino Palazzo problem and I have tried myself to get rid of it by following the steps that they have been told to take, but alas the darn things still remains.  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

Please see my log file from Hijack This and let me know if anything can be done to save my system.   http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

Casino Palazzo took over my xp too and like you I tried everything. Here is my FIX for casinopalazzo. Boot in safe mode (F8) now click start and click search, select all files and folders. the little bastard your looking for is a file. Type: winnet.dill, now click search. Delete winnet.dill and the virus if left without a host. E-mail me at davidkaedingEmail Removed

http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> Hi everything....irritating bug this casino palazzo sh*t. tried this solution but couldn't find the file. I am finally that far that i could prevent the darn thing to change my explorer settings so it doesn't change my homepage anymore but once a while it pops up again, makes a shortcut on my desktop and tries to connect to the website of casino palazzo. I can't exlude the adress because when i try with several firewalls they say the host doesn't exist.

Also i tried the several differant solution other people gave like going to the panda software link and do a online scan (the link doesn't work anaymore:"this page cannot be displayed") thus without succes. Going to the website of panda i couldn't find the online scan. Downloaded several trail versions off their software but all couldn't find anything. Oh yes i have already tried all this wonderfull software like spydoctor, adaware, panda zone-alarm pro, At last i deleted everything of wmplayer on my computer, but really everything, hopefully this will work, if any other solutions because i am thinking off formatting my whole laptop ands start from scratch again....
