I recently installed System Mechanic 4, and when I ran a few tests and repairs, windows basically collapsed - I can run only a few select programs - all others give a message saying application configuration is incorrect. The taskbar is there, but hte start menu doesnt appear - if I hit the startmenu button on the keyboard, it pops up, but the majority of the items dont appear. Task manager doesn't start. Regedit wont open. I'd like to save at least parts of my registry if I must reload the OS. Let me know what can be done.
