Samsung Digimax 800k
« on: November 28, 2004, 11:21:16 PM »
I have a Samsung Digimax 800k still camera. But I've been receiving an error and "E2" error. I looked it up in the user manual and it's says that an E2 is when the memory card is protected and to "remove the tag on the memory card".

There is no tag on the memory card. Or am I missing something? The memory card has no pics on it, the counter says 0 (zero)

Does anyone know how to help me? Please talk me through it.
Thanks!!

I'm not quite sure with that camera
But doesn't the Memory card itself have some sort of Protection switch
Look on the side of the card for a small slide switch
 or possibly even
a metallic cover you will have to remove
The cover may just look like a blot of metallic paper

I've looked at the memory card already. There's never been a switch on it. If there is, it's new to me!
If I remove any metal strips I'll be removing the metal strip the camera stores all the photos on.

What brand is the memory card?

Hmm, unless your card isn't capable it should have a swith or
an adhesive strip over a circle
Here's more info
There is a gold metal like area on the card, this is the contact area with the device for storing and deleting your photos or data. (DO NOT TOUCH THE GOLD AREA.) You will see a little circle in the right center of the card, this is the write-protect area.
