Your log isn't that bad with a few exceptions that need cleaned out

First: I would access your Add/Remove programs and remove if found
LimeShop
Viewpoint Manager
<--this was just upgraded from Spyware to User preference, I would get rid of it

Restart your computer if anything removed

NEXT: Decide which Anti-Virus software you want to use
McAfee's or AVG's
Having more than one running on startup can cause system instabilities and conflicts
I would uninstall one or the other
Restart after removal of either

Back in Windows, your running Zone Alarm, that's ok
But can you ensure that the XP firewall is not enabled
Open Control Panel>>Double click Network Connections
Right click on your connection
Left click properties>>>Click the Advanced tab
Ensure the firewall is disabled

Than come back here and we can try some trouble shooting steps after you have done the above

Please post a fresh hijackthis log afterwards
Can you redownload hijackthis and save it to a permanent folder please
We won't run hijackthis out of your temp folder
Backups will be stored there, when we clean your temp folders all backups will be lost
You can download a fresh copy from my signature below

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Follow the instructions posted http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php/topic/22942-please-read-how-to-post-logs-from-frst/\'>Click Here

Let's try a little more cleaning and then we'll see how it's running and maybe direct you to other troubleshooting steps

Download
Windows CleanUp! by StevenGould
This will clean all your temp folders, cookies, prefetch, etc...
Install it for now, don't run a scan yet

Start RealOne Player (2) Tools - Preferences (3) Automatic services in the Categories pane (4) Uncheck all options and then OK

Open your Task Manager and end task on these if running
ALCXMNTR.EXE
realsched.exe
qttask.exe

Set Windows To Show Hidden Files and Folders
    * Click Start.
    * Open My Computer.
    * Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    * Select the View Tab.
    * Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    * Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    * Uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types
    * Click Yes to confirm.
    * Click OK.

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe
Rename realsched.exe>>>to realsched.old
We're just trying to control this from starting up
If you don't need the next one running on startup
Let's disable it too
qttask.exe>>Quick times tray utility>>Not needed on startup
Open Quicktime and check it's options to disable

Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:
Please remove the ones with red.clientapps...Assoc. with Red Sheriff spyware

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows, including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
YES and exit Hijackthis

Restart your computer into SAFE MODE

Find and delete this folder if it exists
C:\Program Files\LimeShop <--folder

Open up Windows CleanUp you installed earlier
START>>All programs>>CleanUp
Click the CleanUp button
Let it finish scanning for files and when it's done
It will prompt you to log off, you don't have to at this time

Defrag your Hard drive>>Start>>All programs>>accessories>>system tools>>
Disk Defragmenter
let it finish

Restart back to Normal Mode and post a fresh hijackthis log
Let me know if there's an improvement in performance
The startup may be a bit slower after running Windows CleanUp
This is because it also cleans the Prefetch folder
Startup will improve on next bootup

I'm not sure if there are any firmware upgrades for your product

I would ensure however that Programs such ZoneAlarm have all program updates
I assume you've disable the XP firewall?

You may even want to check if you have any driver updates for your motherboard
Just a suggestion, I'm not sure

Check with the your computer manufactuter's site

I like to hold of installing SP2 until after you ensured all Spyware and Viruses are gone
You look clean
And ensure all drivers are up to date

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?
