have seen this described on other web pages, but without the answer so here is my situation in a nutshell: have been runnign win98 and Windows Media pLayer 7.1 and everythign has been beautiful.
tried to install some logitech cam software. the install never gets past UPDATING SYSTEM dialog.
so even though i have totally removed logitech from my machine (registry and all) and removed windows media player and reinstalled it many times (both 6.4 and 7.1) the media player crashes in this way.
if i ever hit the stop button, the app freezes. if i open a media file with it, it freezes on either connetcing or changing media.
can anyone point me in the right direction?
