Hi there,
When i install winxp prof. standby and hybernation tabs were working. Because of activation problems, i had to re0install windows. After reinstalling the STANDBY and Hybernation Tabs are not working. Would you be so kind to help me in fixing that problem.
Thanks

I have the same problem. I have been searching all over the web for a resolution. I can only tell you this from what I have gathered so far. I am assuming that you have a notebook computer like I do, and this issue seems to be ralted to mobile computers. This option is grayed out as system standby / hibernate drains the battery, so upon installing XP, it sensed that and now grayes out this feature. Strange though, since I have XP Pro and Win 2000 in a dual boot on the same notebook, and if I boot to my win 2000, the options are present, yet they are not in XP ??? I will keep searching to find out if this can be fixed.

Here is the best answer I got to this issue so far. May want to upgrade BIOS as XP pro may not work 100% with BIOS versions.
