Win2k Pro freezes
« on: September 22, 2001, 10:28:12 PM »
I recently dual booted Win98se and Win2kpro and i have found that everytime I load win2k if my mouse goes over any box (like windows is starting.....) it freezes. Should i reformat cause my hard drive is really fragmented and i probably should cause my system is starting to get bogged down with all the garbage i installed. System specs are:
AMD Athlon T-Bird 1.33ghz
Amptron 817MLR mobo
256 DDR Ram
ATI Xpert 2000 (Rage 128)
Realtek 10/100 LAN
AMR Modem

Start updating those drivers - video, chipset, ide, agp, sound, modem, etc
Hopefully that will fix things a bit.

Is it a usb mouse?  If so try it on the ps/2 port (assuming you have an adapter).  Or try a different mouse.
