Don\'t think you can do it yourself, but MS does sell copies with the first service pack already in it (and possibly the second too, but I have no need to buy a second copy to find out ).

You have to download the sp1 and sp2 for administrative installations and apply using special strings.
I haven\'t had luck trying to make a sp2 office 2000 folder into a cd. (i guess this is cuz is a SP and not a SRelease)
the sp1 admin file is very large as is the sp2.
Just a further reminder, you have to download a completely different set of files for updating your CD\'s and Administrative Images.
Do a search of microsoft\'s tech support files.
Or email me a mordoc_98Email Removed and i\'ll try and help you.

Copy office 2000 to your hard drive. Download the administrative updates for SR1a, SP2 and other fixes.
Apply the administrative updates using the relevant commands.
Copy back to CD.
I have successfully created an Office 2000 SR1a SP2 cd using this method.
Definitely reduces the time spent installing Office.

http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/2000/appndx/toolbox.htm

download data1.exe and sp2admin.exe
run files to extract contents. you will have a set of *.msp files, as well as a readadm.doc
instructions are detailed in the .doc

or given below, at the run command

msiexec /p [pathname of update MSP file] /a [pathname of MSI file] SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb /L* [pathname of log file]

where the [pathname of update MSP file] is say C:adminpackdata1.msp
and [pathname of MSI file] is say C:Office2000data1.msi

Windows Installer Error Codes here
Code 2203 - Database: [2]. Cannot open database file. system error [3]

I havent tried to integrate disc 2 yet. When I do, I will post it on my site. However, it will be a long time before I do it, as I do not use disc 2.

My guess is that disc 2 can be patched with the sr1a administrative file using similar commands. Check and see for yourself. I would appreciate it if you did.

I\'ve forgot to attribute read only files, so the error came out. I\'m still trying intergrate Disc2, not success right now. And I hope I can make it. Many thanks.

Havent a clue.
However, if you give me a copy of Office XP and the language pack, I will be happy to try http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Seriously, check the M$ knowledge base articles or the documentation that came with the language pack.
If the language pack comes in a *.MSP file format, it may be possible to integrate.

My site has been updated with the complete instructions for the integration of -
1) Service Release 1a,
2) Service Pack 2 and
3) some newer updates
into Office 2000 Disc 1 and Disc 2.

A similar procedure can be used for the updates that are available for Office XP.
