Hi,

I have just downloaded HijackThis, a nice program.

Can someone please advise which part needs to be deleted/fixed?

Sorry Steve, I don't have time right now too look at your log
But you could do something for me right now

Access your add/remove programs and remove if found
Media Access

If you didn't purposely install MyWay toolbar, I would remove it too, as it usually gets installed unknowingly
You can remove MyWay or similiar in Add/Remove programs

Restart your computer after removing the above
Back in Windows

Run a free online Virus scan at Panda's
and or Housecall's >>Set to autoclean

At either please save the report and post it back

After running either, or both of the above scans
Could you also
Download and Install the free version of Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.05
Ensure you have this version or the paid version
Open Ad-Aware, ensure to click the  check for updates now link and Connect to download the latest updates
Perform a Full system scan
When it's finished scanning
At this point you should either right click on the screen and and choose the "Select All" Objects option or individually put a checkmark in each objects checkbox
click on the Next button. Ad-Aware SE will now present you with a confirmation box as to whether or not you would like to remove the objects you have just selected. Press the "OK" button

RESTART your computer to finish the cleaning process

Post back a fresh hijackthis log afterwards

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I have removed Media Access and My Tool Bar, not sure how it got there in the first place.

Checked with Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.05, which removed 42 objects.

Am currently using Avast 4.6 Home Edition Antivirus, and no virus detected.   My computer did have alot of worm32 a few days ago prior to this program as I was using Kazaa and not use any antivirus program.  Silly me!!!

Just run HijackThis once again, can you please have a look at my log at your earlist convenience?

Yah, I know your running Avast
But I asked you to run at least one online Virus scan
I have Virus protection myself, but I still check my system with a free online virus scan
once in awhile, just for a double check

After you have done that post back a fresh Hijackthis log
and the log from either Panda's or Housecall's

I didn't intend on you too install the Panda Anti-Virus
The link I supplied was too an Online virus scan, you only need to install the Active X control and then download the definitions
Is this a trial version of Panda's, we should remove it after we're done here
Having more than one AV running on your system is not a good idea

I take it that Panda's AV found some bad guys, but since you didn't do the online scan and  save the report afterwards, I would hope everything went well

Try this
Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\System32\userinit.exe
O2 - BHO: DownloadRedirect Class - {00000000-6CB0-410C-8C3D-8FA8D2011D0A} - C:\Program Files\iMesh\iMesh5\iMeshBHO.dll

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [iqfq] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\iqfq\iqfqm.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: iexplore - Ydm3d.dll (file missing)

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows, including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Restart your computer

Find and delete these files or folders if they exist
C:\Program Files\Common Files\iqfq <-this folder
C:\Program Files\Media Access <-folder
C:\Program Files\MyWay <-folder

C:\Program Files\iMesh <-folder, if iMesh is no longer installed
If it is installed, don't delete the folder yet
You may want to remove it properly if it is installed, up to you, but if it's the free version it comes bundled with Spyware
