Please Somebody!!MYSRCHAS.DLL

To the kind person that will try to help me,


This is the second time that I post this message. Nobody has answered me yet. I have a Folder named MY WAY and I dont know what the hell that is. I have tried to delete it but i just cant. Inside the folder, there is a file named MYSRCHAS.DLL and this one is the file that cant be deleted.

The message tell me that it I the computer has no access to it and that I should check if its being used at the moment or if its protected.

Can somebody please help me?? Thank you!!

    I'm a relative newbie myself, but i can tell you a good start would be to do the following:
  -start by posting a hjt log as described above the first post you see today ( pinned posts by guestello )
  - second download and install spybot search and destoy, look under the next pinned post above.

  after you check for updates for spybot, ckl on search and destroy>find problems, then let it finish the scan,, you should see myway come up as a problem found,,now clk fix problems, then reboot and if you  still have trouble post a HJT log for futher help,

I think that what Hurricane suggested is a good start. I haven't heard of MY WAY before and I can't look it up right now... but in addition, what you can do if you KNOW for a fact that it is a bad DLL and know for a fact that a legit program doesn't need it to operate properly.

Boot into safe mode and delete it from there.
or more on the safe side - rename or move somewhere else (quarantining in a sene)

That will solve your access problem...

 Sorry for the late reply, just saw your reply in my private box, and not sure if you got my reply.
 First, no, reinstalling windows wil not clean anything, unless you reformat first, before you do please try being sure you have the latest updates, and run spybot again but this time in safe mode.

 To start in safe mode , hit f8 as your commputer boots.

  Now ckl search and destroy button, and find problems,, after the scan finishes you should see entries for my way listed,
 now clk fix problems..

 if not, scan with HJT again and put a check mark beside the following entries

O2 - BHO: MyWay Search Assistant BHO - {04079851-5845-4dea-848C-3ECD647AA554} - C:\Programme\MyWay\SrchAstt\1.bin\MYSRCHAS.DLL
O2 - BHO: myBar BHO - {0494D0D1-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Programme\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: My &Search Bar - {0494D0D9-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Programme\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL

  now close all other windows including this one, and clk on fix checked..
  restart and post back a freash HJT log if you still have trouble,,
