Both are good, at same clock speed id take intel, if the AMD's speed is way over Intel's chip id take AMD.

AMD is a lot cheaper though

Depends on what you intend to use it for, but AMD gives you more value for the money. I would have put an AMD in this machine if I hadn't gotten such a great bundle deal for the Mobo/Processor/RAM/OS

Intel is the largest chip maker in the world. It happens to do something right. I do not like that fact you call someone a faget, just because he/she works for intel. Hey, do you have a job? I thought so http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />  So just because you don't have intel or dislike it is your opinion, but it doesn't give you a right to call some one a faget http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

BTW, I'm not going to snoop to your level, I can tell your only 12-14 years old. I dn't need a little child telling me which one is better, or not. Hey, just because you can't afford or get Intel, doesn't mean you have to bash their name. I bet you havn't even tried a Intel CPU

lol..HT isn't as great a feature as you would think. It's just cramming more [censored]e through the same 800MHz bus...

AMD for me...all the way. They currently have the best-for-the-money chips.

Dude...clock speed hardly matters. Its all about the architectureof the chip itself.. My Athlon 64 3200+ (2.0Ghz) will smoke any Intel P4 3.2GHz in gaming.

LONG LIVE AMD, QUICK DIE INTEL!!!
Windows: A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.

For God's Sake, stop using Micro$oft's stuff - it has security like a piece of swiss cheese!
