IE gets stuck and the CPU usage is really high

Hi,

The IE is running very slow and the CPU is overworked eventhough there arent any significant processes running on the machine.  Please suggest a solution and I would really appreciate it.

By the looks of your log, it looks like having multiple virus scanners running could be your problem

I would hold onto the virus scanner that your happiest with and uninstall the others
I'm not sure of all the options your using with Symantec's or McAfee's
I also see AVG

Having more than one AV running can cause conflicts and slow down system performance

This holds true with Firewalls also
Again, I'm not sure if you are using a third party firewall with McAfee's or Symantecs
And you cut off the top of your hijackthis log
I suspect your running XP
It also has a firewall

Only run one firewall to steer away from conflicts

Additionally, not really considered malware, but if you didn't intentionally install Viewpoint
Access your add/remove programs and remove it
You may have more than one entry for removal

Restart the computer afterwards

This would be a good time also to to a disk defrag on your system after you remove any of the above

When you have done the above, come back here and post a fresh hijackthis log
Include the top header, which includes Hijackthis version and Operating system,etc..
