Geforce 4 MX440

Hi,
I've had a Geforce 4 MX440 made by some random Taiwanese company for a while and have always had big problems using it to game.

In older games like Fifa 2004 it's ok and works well with only slight flickering

However in any new games the flickering becomes so bad that you basically can't see the screen at all. Often the picture is distorted and sometimes the computer reboots itself.

Any ideas? I've tried changing the acceleration settings etc, but without much joy.

Thanks
Ben

I'll assume you have the latest Nvidia Drivers..

I would say it's an overheating issue. You could try opening up the side panel of your comp and put a household fan blowing air into tne case. Make sure to let it cool for an hour or so before doing this...

Then you can eliminate that specific issue if the problems continue.

Try that and post back later.
