NETWORKING SHARE & PING
« on: November 02, 2005, 05:46:31 AM »
I have windows server 2003 and have scripted a batch file to copy certain files to a workstation (Windows XP Pro) via a shared directory.

When I reboot both Server and Windows XP I can see the Windows XP share from Server 2003 fine. However over night, for some reason the network share is lost and the file transfer script produces an error. I checked the event viewer - nothing!
I can ping perfectly ok to the XP but every time I try to connect to a shared directory on XP, I get an error http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> "Unable to connect to network.".

XP can see all shares on server which is the main thing, but now I am having to run the script from the XP.

Can anyone help?
