Im gonna be building a new computer. I was wondering how this looked for my basic setup. Im trying to go as cheap as possible. I probably wont be upgrading my cpu or mobo ever. Also what ram would any reccomend? Ive also heard that maxtor makes very cheap HDs. The $50 price with 16mb cache is a great deal though. I also have an external HD ready for backup and the maxtor has a 3 year warranty. The cpu supposedly comes with a fan. Should i also buy a better heatsink/fan?

don't bother with the other heatsinks or fan, the standard 1 is all u need. And, unless the other heatsink and fan is approved by AMD, which 99.9999% are not, this will void the warrantly on your cpu - which is crappy i know!

For God's Sake, stop using Micro$oft's stuff - it has security like a piece of swiss cheese!

since it says 64-bit advice ill give u some. The 64-bit is nice and helps a little. me and about 3 friends have all tested the 64-bit processors. Basicly wat they do is load every program profectly which means they load with no errors 100% the time so it will always load at the settings you put the game at or wat it requires. The P4 are just as good its just sometimes since the P4 get up to about 3.8ghz ive even seen 4.4ghz they load the game so fast that theres so much errors that it has to keep reloadin and reloading thats y it seems like it takes longer to load. But I would recommend staying with a P4 with HT
